Texas Gasoline Prices Drop 18 Cents

Prices falling an average of more than 2 cents per day.

Retail gasoline prices continue to plummet across Texas this week.

The weekly AAA Texas survey released Thursday showed regular self-serve retail prices were falling at the average rate of more than 2.5 cents per day per gallon.

The survey found regular grade averaging $2.13 per gallon in the 11 Texas cities in the survey, 18 cents lower than last week and nearly 80 cents less than this time last year. It's also 21 cents less than the national average of $2.34 per gallon, which is down 20 cents from last week.
 
Corpus Christi has the cheapest gas in the state at $1.99 per gallon, 11 cents less than last week. El Paso continues to have the most expensive gas in the state at $2.51 per gallon, 20 cents less than last week.
