Louisianan authorities are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in Whiskey Bay.
Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi said the body was discovered Saturday by a fisherman who notified officials.
Stassi identified victim as Elizabeth Ferrell of Humble, Texas. Officials said the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab and AFIS assisted in making the positive identification.

Stassi said Ferrell's death is being investigated as a homicide.
