Texas Motor Speedway Has Big Plans For Race Fans August 27

Racing returns to Texas Motor Speedway August 27th for the completion of the Firestone 600.  The race was originally scheduled to run Saturday June 11th but was pushed to Sunday because of the weather.  Drivers took to the track but the race was called off after 71 laps once again because of the weather.  Officials from Texas Motor Speedway and IndyCar came together and decided to resume the race August 27th. 

Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage has released the "Restart Your Engines" schedule for the race.  Gates will open to the public at 4:00 p.m. 

Race activities will start with a Verizon IndyCar Series practice from 4:30-5:00 p.m.

There will be an autograph session featuring the entire driver field from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and resumption of the race will get underway at 8:00 on the NBC Sports Network.

TMS President Eddie Gossage is promising to take care of the fans who stuck it out at Texas Motor Speedway during the weather delays.
