Texas Man Sentenced For Cocaine Business Run From His Auto Shop

A Del Rio man has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for running a cocaine distribution operation out of his auto body shop business.

U.S. District Judge Alia Moses also fined Raymond Villarreal $3,000 and ordered him to be on probation for five years once the prison sentence is completed.

Villarreal pleaded guilty in May 2015 to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance. Federal prosecutors say Villarreal, who once worked as a Del Rio police officer, distributed cocaine throughout Del Rio for two years through December 2013 from his Raul's Body Shop business.
