Authorities say a Texas man was found dead in northern Colorado's Big Thompson River hours after his brother reported him missing.
The Fort Collins Coloradoan reports the 37-year-old man, whose name and hometown have not been released, became separated from his brother as the two were hiking to a friend's cabin Thursday night.
The victim's brother told investigators that he and his friends searched the area until it became too dark. They then called Estes Park police.

Members of Larimer County Search and Rescue were combing the area Friday morning when they received word that a fisherman had found a body in the river. The coroner's office has not released the cause and manner of the man's death.
