Federal prosecutors said a member of the Black Gangsta Disciples street gang will serve nearly 22 years in prison for his involvement in a conspiracy to distribute meth in Mississippi.
The Sun Herald reported that 31-year-old Senon Guzman, of Pasadena, Texas, was also ordered Tuesday to serve five years of post-release supervision.
Guzman had failed to show up for his initial sentencing on the drug conspiracy charge in August, but was picked up Sept. 1 in Texas after the judge issued an arrest warrant.
Authorities in Houston had arrested Guzman in January in the meth case. He was released on a $75,000 bond, but then entered a guilty plea in March.
Guzman is one of nine people accused of pulling off the meth racket in George County and across South Mississippi
