A Vermont police dog named Maximus is helping a 4-year-old Texas boy who discovered a viral video of the dog playfully chasing a stream of water.
Max's handler, Vermont State Police Trooper Nick Arlington, said the dog has helped find more than 1,000 bags of heroin, but he thought a video of the dog chasing the water was "awesome" so it was posted on the state police's Facebook page.
The video has had thousands of views, including several by 4-year-old Tristan Stiller, of El Paso, who is autistic and has epilepsy.
Arlington tells WCAX-TV the video helps Tristan.
So many people have heard the story and many are making donations to possibly get Tristan a service dog of his own.
