A man was stabbed and a woman was shot after being confronted by a group of people early Wednesday morning in Dallas, police say.
Dallas police said a man and woman were in a car along the 2200 block of Belknap Avenue when they were approached by a group of people riding in a late-model white Nissan at about 12:30 a.m., police said.
At some point a verbal altercation between the group and the man escalated and someone pulled out a knife and a gun.
In the moments that followed, multiple shots were fired, one of which struck the girl. Police reported Wednesday morning that the man had also been stabbed.
The victims were hospitalized; their conditions are not known.
The group involved in the incident remain at large.
Dallas police initially released a statement that a teenage boy had been shot but clarified Wednesday a boy had been stabbed and a girl had been shot.
