A teenager was airlifted to a hospital Thursday night after he was hit by a car when he ran into the street near Byron Nelson High School in Trophy Club, police said.
The boy, whose name and age were not immediately released, was rushed to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, a police spokesman said.
The incident happened about 8:30 p.m. on Bobcat Boulevard near Parkview Drive.
The teen suffered a head injury but was conscious as he was loaded onto the medical helicopter, police said.
