A teen has been arrested in connection to a severe overnight attack that left a woman naked and beaten nearly six months ago.
The 16 year-old was linked by DNA evidence to a September 3, 2014 beating of a woman in Opportunity Park in the 3100 block of Pine Street, police said in a statement.
A 54 year-old woman was seen walking in the area before she was beaten at approximately 11:30 pm last September.
The teen was transported from a juvenile facility in Brazos County to the Henry Wade Juvenile Justice Center in Dallas. He was charged with aggravated assault and held on a $500,000 bond.
His name was not released.
