A 17-year-old is now charged with manslaughter after police say a 15-year-old boy he was accused of shooting died due to his injury.
Garland police said officers were called to a shooting at a home on the 3700 block of Burning Tree Lane at about 7 p.m. Tuesday.
When officers arrived, they found a 15-year-old boy suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The child was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but he later died.
Detectives investigating the shooting learned the victim was inside the home with another 15-year-old and a 17-year-old, identified by police as Andy Erives, when the shooting took place.
