Republican presidential candidate U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (TX-R) is showing how he cooks bacon with the help of a firearm.
In a YouTube video made by IJReview, Cruz wraps the muzzle of a semi-automatic rifle with strips of bacon, then covers it with foil. Then, he fires off a couple of rounds inside a gun range.
"In Texas, we cook bacon a little differently than most folks," Cruz said in the video.
He even points out how the bacon grease is dripping to the concrete below, mixed in with spent shells.
After that, Cruz removes the foil to find the bacon fully cooked and takes a bite.
"Mmmm, machine gun bacon," said Cruz.
