TCU Faces Stanford Dec. 28 in San Antonio's Alamo Bowl

Alamo Bowl played Dec. 28 at 6 p.m. in San Antonio

TCU will play Stanford in the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio. The game will be held Thursday, Dec. 28 at 8 p.m.

TCU entered the bowl selection process after Saturday's loss in the Big XII Championship in Arlington to Oklahoma.

The Horned Frogs finished ranked 15th in the final Top 25 Rankings selected by the College Football Playoff Committee.

  • Stanford: The Cardinal lost to USC in the Pac-12 title game 31-28, missing out on a New Year's Six bowl invite. But Stanford won its previous three games, including a 38-20 thrashing of Notre Dame.
  • TCU: The Horned Frogs lost twice to CFP participant Oklahoma and at Iowa State. TCU went 3-3 after starting 7-0.
