TCU 1 Win from CWS Final With 6-1 Win Over Coastal Carolina

The TCU Horned Frogs baseball team moved to within one win of the College World Series final with a 6-1 victory over Coastal Carolina Tuesday.

TCU's Luken Baker showed no signs of cooling off, as the freshman homered in his first at bat in the second inning. He finished the day 3 for 3 with a walk.

The Horned Frogs held a lead the entire game after Baker's home run, as starting pitcher Brian Howard went 5⅔ innings giving up one run on 6 hits and 3 walks, striking out 7.

Reliever Ryan Burnett finished the game with 3⅓ scoreless innings. He held the Chanticleers hitless, striking out 2.

TCU will play the winner of Thursday's game between Texas Tech and Coastal Carolina at 7 p.m. TCU beat Texas Tech 5-3 on Sunday on a 2-run 9th-inning home run by Baker.

Micah Ahern, a 7-year-old Arlington boy fighting cancer whom the team signed to an honorary scholarship, was able to attend Tuesday's game in Omaha, Nebraska.
