TCU 1 Win from CWS Final With 6-1 Win Over Coastal Carolina

The TCU Horned Frogs baseball team moved to within one win of the College World Series final with a 6-1 victory over Coastal Carolina Tuesday.

The Horned Frogs held a lead the entire game after Baker's home run, as starting pitcher Brian Howard went 5⅔ innings giving up one run on 6 hits and 3 walks, striking out 7.

Reliever Ryan Burnett finished the game with 3⅓ scoreless innings. He held the Chanticleers hitless, striking out 2.

TCU will play the winner of Thursday's game between Texas Tech and Coastal Carolina at 7 p.m. TCU beat Texas Tech 5-3 on Sunday on a 2-run 9th-inning home run by Baker.

Micah Ahern, a 7-year-old Arlington boy fighting cancer whom the team signed to an honorary scholarship, was able to attend Tuesday's game in Omaha, Nebraska.
