Texas' annual tax-free weekend starts Friday and runs through Sunday.
Shoppers will get a break from sales tax on certain items that cost less than $100, including many school supplies and most clothing. The tax holiday could save shoppers about $8 on every $100 spent.
But certain leather goods, handbags, jewelry and helmets aren't eligible. (See a list of what is eligible at the Texas Comptroller's website.)
