Dallas Police Charge Man in Parking Garage Sexual Assault

Dralon Patterson, 34, was charged with evading arrest and aggravated sexual assault

Police charged a man they arrested late Friday with aggravated sexual assault, the Dallas Police Department said Saturday night.

Dralon Patterson, 34, was arrested just after midnight Friday and charged with evading arrest, police said. Following additional investigations, police said they filed the additional charge against Patterson.

A call came in to Dallas police for a suspicious person near the area of 2800-2900 Vine Street late Friday night.

Officers responded and confronted a male suspect who ran away. Police quickly apprehended him and, once he was in custody, officers recovered a handgun.

According to investigators, the man arrested had a similar description as the sexual assault suspect who attacked a woman in a parking garage on Thursday. The attack happened in the 2700 block of Howell Street.
