Suspects Sought in Florida Teen's Fatal Beating

A Florida teenager severely beaten over the weekend was taken off life support and died Monday night, but police still don't know exactly how he died.

Witnesses said the victim, identified as Roger Trindade, 15, was jumped by a group of teens.

Winter Park Police Chief Michael Deal said Trindade was unconscious when officers found him. The boy was taken to a hospital, where he was put on life support. Authorities said Trindade was removed from life support Monday night.

According to Deal, the boy showed little sign of trauma, and it's still unclear what caused his death. Police said they don't believe the incident was gang-related or racially-motivated.

No arrests have been made, but police said they have identified multiple juvenile suspects, some of whom are students at Winter Park High School where the victim also attended.
