The suspect in a Carrollton murder case is under arrest, police say.
Danny Aragon-Marquez was arrested Wednesday in El Paso by U.S. authorities after he fled to Mexico following the May 29 shooting death of his roommate Randy Dugger, according to the Carrollton Police Department.
The suspect was returned to Carrollton Friday and booked into the Carrollton City Jail on a murder charge.
He is now being held at Dallas County Jail without bond.
Carrollton police say the arrest was a joint effort between the Carrollton Police Department, the U.S. Marshals Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force and the U.S. Marshals Lonestar Fugitive Task Force El Paso Division.
Carrollton Fire Rescue discovered Dugger's body just before 7:30 a.m. on May 29 when it responded to a carbon monoxide alarm in the 2200 block of Crockett Drive. Police detectives then arrived and determined it was not a natural death.
