Suspect Arrested in Fort Worth Woman's Death: Police

A man is in custody following the death of a Fort Worth woman who police say was found shot in her home last week.

Joshua K. Henry, 29, was arrested and jailed on a $250,000 bond, facing a homicide charge, in the death of Nicole Blahitka.

Police said they were called to Blahitka's home on the 3600 block of Middlewood Drive Friday after her son and her housekeeper found her deceased in her bed with a gunshot wound to the head.

Investigators spoke with Henry, with whom Blahitka had been in a relationship, and he allegedly confessed to shooting her after an argument Thursday night.

Henry told police he disposed of the firearm in the nearby river and threw his two cell phones into a pond near Blahitka's home. He agreed to direct police to the areas where the items could be found, police said.
