Strong winds took down power lines forcing Interstate I-20 to shutdown Friday afternoon.
The incident happened outside of Terrell, east of Dallas in Kaufman county. The shutdown affects drivers heading in or out of Dallas.
The power lines crossed the highway and crews are on scene working to fix the issue.
Hour long delays are expected before the roads are cleared.
