Street Flooding Reported in Houston After Storms

Some street flooding has been reported in Houston after storms dumped several inches of rain and cut power to thousands of homes and businesses.

The National Weather Service says a weak cold front moved through the Houston area Friday. Parts of Harris County had more than 6 inches of rain.

Some vehicles flooded in an underground parking garage in downtown Houston.

CenterPoint Energy reported about 3,400 customers without electricity Friday.

The National Weather Service says the forecast for the Houston area includes a chance for showers through Saturday.
