Thousands of North Texans are waking up to no power Monday after hurricane force winds blew through North Texas Sunday causing plenty of damage.
As of 6:30 a.m.Monday morning, ONCOR reported nearly 23,000 Tarrant County customers affected by power outages. In Wise County, there were 512 customers without electricity. Dallas County has 466 customers without power.
Oncor has been working to restore power in these areas.
The number of homes without power has decreased since Sunday night when Oncor initially reported more than 55,000 customers were without power.
Winds in other locations throughout North Texas caused severe damage. Wind gusts as high as 60 mph took down a billboard along Boat Club Road in Tarrant County.
Many NBC 5 viewers shared pictures of downed fences in the Saginaw area.
Several lanes closed when a traffic signal at Main Street and North-side Drive blew over in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Nearby homes also lost power. High winds also knocked over a construction fence in Downtown Fort Worth.

NBC 5 Meteorologist Grant Johnston said an 80 mph wind gust was recorded in the Johnson County community of Venus. Fort Worth's Meacham Airport recorded 76 mph gust. While north Fort Worth saw 73 mph gusts.
