Store Manager Shoots 2 That Attacked Clerk: Dallas Police

Police said a Dallas gas station manager fought off two people who attacked a clerk Wednesday night.[[296062981,L]]

The manager told police that two men were lingering at an Exxon station on East Illinois Avenue near Bonnie View Road at about 11:25 p.m. Once the store emptied, he said they told the clerk they had a gun and began assaulting him.

Police said the manager then grabbed a gun and shot both people.

Both shooting victims were transported to hospitals, according to police. There is no word yet on their condition. When they are released, police said they will charge them with robbery.

No store employees were injured, according to authorities.

Police said they are reviewing surveillance video of the incident, but do not expect to charge the manager.
