Texas drivers are used to showing off their hobbies or favorite teams with vanity license plates, but next year you might have fewer options available.
Right now, 56 specialty plates are on the chopping block.
Among those are plates for NASCAR, the Fort Worth Zoo and several out-of-state universities.
The plates at risk of being cut are those that have sold fewer than 200 in the past year. So, unless they meet the target by March they will be permanently removed.
