The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission suspended the liquor permit of an Arlington bar on Monday for at least a week.
Witnesses told police the man had earlier fought inside a nearby club. Security asked the two groups involved in the dispute to leave.
Police said gun shots rang out as the victim tried to drive away.
Police have not released the victim's identity but one arrest was made.
Now that the TABC has suspended the liquor permit, they, along with police, can investigate the events of that night.
