Shoulder Discomfort Lands Darvish On The Disabled List

Rangers ace Yu Darvish has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder discomfort.  Darvish was examined earlier today in Arlington and the MRI indicated no structural issues with his neck or right shoulder.

Darvish, who is 2-0 in three starts this season, was pulled in the fifth inning against the Houston Astros June 8th after experiencing shoulder stiffness.  Darvish tried to throw over the weekend but still experienced soreness and was later scratched from his scheduled Monday start against the Oakland A's.

Darvish missed all of last season after undergoing Tommy John surgery.  The Rangers have recalled left handed pitcher Alex Claudio from Round Rock to take Darvish's spot on the roster.
