Police Searching for Arlington Shooting Suspect

Police still looking for suspect

Arlington police continue to search for a suspect after a man was shot and killed at the Huntington Meadows Apartments Thursday afternoon.

Roland Tucker, 31, was found dead just feet from the apartment building where he lived with his wife.

The shooting was reported at 3:50 p.m. Thursday along the 2300-block of Stratton Lane near Brown and Ascension boulevards.

When officers arrived they found Tucker dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Witnesses described to police a man who was seen running from the apartment complex after the gunshots were heard, but so far investigators have not yet determined if that person was connected to the shooting.

Several neighbors told NBC 5, while they didn’t know Tucker well, he seemed quiet and friendly.

With the gunman believed to be on foot, Nichols Junior High School, which is adjacent to the shooting scene, was placed on lock down Thursday afternoon as a precaution.

Amy Casas, with the Arlington Independent School District, said all of the kids were safe.
