The Dallas Police Department is searching for the gunman in an early Monday morning drive-by shooting.[[318648931,L]]
Dallas police were called to the 2500 block of Britton Avenue at about 4:40 a.m. after a shooting was reported.
Upon arrival, police discovered a man was shot in the leg after witnesses said someone drove up in a dark-colored vehicle and fired several shots.
The gunman then drove away, headed eastbound on Elmore Avenue.
Police said the victim was transported to Methodist Hospital where he is being treated for a gunshot wound. His identity and condition have not been released.
A description of the gunman and his vehicle have not yet been made available.
