The Coppell ISD confirms they are working with the Coppell Police Department to investigate an alleged sexual assault on campus.
This after a post on social media started spreading this weekend.
The post claims that a student with special needs at Coppell High School was sexually assaulted on Friday in the school bathroom. The post also claims that as many as three other Coppell High School students were involved.
Coppell ISD released a statement on its Facebook page saying...
"Coppell ISD has been made aware of a social media post circulating the district about an alleged incident on the Coppell High School campus. We would like to take this opportunity to assure our community that any and all allegations of sexual abuse/ assault are taken seriously and investigations by Coppell ISD and the Coppell Police Department are being conducted in accordance to Board policy and the Student Code of Conduct. Our number one priority is to provide a safe learning environment for all Coppell ISD students."
We have reached out to the student's family, but they declined to talk about the incident on camera.
