The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for parts of North Texas as a storm moved in Friday morning.
Warnings were issued for Tarrant, Denton, Collin, Parker and Wise counties until just after 10 a.m. Authorities said quarter-sized hail and wind gusts up to 65 mph were expected.
A ground stop was issued at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport due to the storms. As of 10:30 a.m., the airport reported 146 flights were delayed and 71 more were canceled.
Dallas Love Field reported 15 canceled flights and 29 more delayed as of 10:30 a.m.
The NWS also issued Flash Flood Warnings for Wise, Montague and Jack counties until 10:15 a.m.
