Second Arrest in Irving Teen Prostitution Case

A second arrest has been made in the trafficking of a 15-year-old Irving girl, NBC 5 has learned.

Earlier this month, Travis Lekas, 17, was arrested on allegations that he forced a fellow student into prostitution with multiple men.

According to new arrest affidavits, Charles Martin, 26, went to Lekas' home around May 2 and paid $45 to engage in sexual intercourse with the girl.

The affidavit states that Martin "self-admitted that he asked the 15-year-old victim if she was satisfied by his sexual performance."

Martin was arrested May 20 and charged with compelling prostitution and sexual performance of a child.

"During the course of the investigation, he was identified as a suspect involved in the prostitution acts," Irving police said. "We are not releasing the details that led to identifying and locating Martin because the investigation is still ongoing."

Lekas, a Nimitz High School freshman, was arrested May 13 and charged with trafficking of a person younger than 18, compelling prostitution and sexual performance by a child.

Police say he gave the 15-year-old girl alcohol and drugs and then sold her to men for money and narcotics. Police say he tried to recruit other girls from Nimitz High and a nearby middle school.

Martin's neighbors on his quiet street in Irving said they were surprised by the news of his arrest.

"He's always been, 'Hi, how are you?' [He] comes over here and talks to me. [I] never expected that," said neighbor Greg Garcia, who watched Martin grow up. "It's a very big surprise."

Martin is being held at the Dallas County jail on a bond of more than $200,000.

His attorney told NBC 5 he had no comment on the case.
