Arlington police are searching for the driver of a black Chevrolet Impala believed to be involved in an armed robbery that took place near a school Friday morning.
Police said the robbery was reported at about 9 a.m. near Ascension and Brown boulevards, not far from Nichols Junior High School.
After the robbery, the adult victim flagged down a school resource officer and reported the crime. As a precaution, the school was locked down for a short time.
The investigation into the robbery is ongoing and, so far, police have not named any suspects or made any arrests.
