Reward Offered in Killing of Mom's Only Son

Reward stands at $20,000

A Dallas family is offering a large reward for information about the murder of a mother's only son.

28-year-old Robert Salas was waiting in the parking lot outside the Marshalls store on the 3400 block of West Illinois Avenue to pick up his mother from work, when he was killed Friday night.

When Rosie Salas approached the car she found her only son in his car with two gunshot wounds.

The Salas family is now offering a $20,000 dollar reward and is pleading for the public's help to catch the killer.

"You can remain anonymous, but we do ask for your help," Robert Thompson, a family spokesperson said. "Robert was the type of person who would have helped anyone and he did."
Family members added that no surveillance cameras recorded the shooting.

All persons giving a tip online, texting or by phone may remain anonymous.
