Residents Rescued After Quadplex Catches Fire in Hurst

Hurst police rescued several residents of a quadplex that caught fire early Monday morning.

The Hurst Fire Department was called to a residential fire at a quadplex at 2:38 a.m. on the 600 block of Timberline Drive.

Two people were evacuated from a balcony before police and fire arrived, all others were rescued by the Hurst Police Department.

Two of the residents required hospitalization for smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.

Firefighters from Hurst, Bedford, Colleyville, Euless, Haltom City and North Richland Hills all assisted and had the fire under control in 20 minutes.

The Red Cross is providing assistance to the displaced residents.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
