Search teams have recovered a body from Lake Lavon after a 17-year-old jumped off a boat Sunday and never resurfaced.
Texas Game Warden Capt. Tony Norton said the teen was on a party boat with his church group when he jumped near Clear Lake Park at about 3 p.m. Sunday.
The body was located Monday afternoon using sonar, and the Wylie Fire Department dive team recovered the body.
The Collin County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the identity and cause of death.
Norton clarified that a party boat is a rented watercraft used for excursions and sightseeing around the lake and is operated by its own captain and crew.
