Clerk Shot in Hand After Attempted Robbery, Police Search for Gunmen

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest

Police are asking for the public’s help with identifying two men who attempted an armed robbery Wednesday evening.

According to Mesquite police, two men attempted to rob a business located on the 200 block of W. Grubbs. Both suspects were armed with handguns and attempted to rob the clerk who was working at the time.

The clerk did not cooperate and both suspects shot multiple rounds, hitting the clerk in the hand.

Both suspects fled the scene, possibly in a 2003-2008 Toyota Matrix that was blue. The car is missing the front bumper and has a sunroof.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $5000 reward for information that leads to an arrest or an indictment for this felony offense.
