Police Search for Gunman After Man Shot in Chest

Police did not say if the second victim was injured

Dallas police are looking for the person who opened fire on two people Sunday morning, injuring one of them.

According to Dallas police, officers were called to a shooting on the 3300 block of Samuel Boulevard, just south of Samuell-Grand Park, but when they arrived the found the victims had traveled nearly eight miles away to the 9700 block of Whitehurst Drive, near Interstate 635 and Skillman, to call 911.

When officers met with the victims they confirmed one of them had been shot in the chest and immediately transported that person to an area hospital. That person's condition is not known.

Police did not say whether the second person was injured in the shooting.

Police have release no information about the suspected gunman or what may have led to the shooting. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
