Police Release Surveillance Video of Joseph Randle Shoplifting

Frisco police released surveillance video of former Cowboys running back Joseph Randle apparently shoplifting at a Dillard's store in 2014.

Police said the then-22-year-old Randle shoplifted $123 in underwear and cologne at Stonebriar Centre Mall Oct. 13, 2014.

Surveillance video released by Frisco police captures former Cowboys running back Joseph Randle apparently shoplifting at a Dillard’s store in 2014.

Randle was stopped by Dillard's loss prevention employees and detained after they saw him make a purchase and then walk to another part of the store where he allegedly put a bottle of Gucci Guilty Black cologne and a 2-pack of underwear into his bag.

Police stopped Randle shortly after he left the store. They said they arrested him after comparing the contents of his bag with his receipt and watching surveillance footage of him.

According to the police report, Randle told officers that he didn't pay for the merchandise because he did not want to take the time to do it.

After pleading guilty to misdemeanor theft, a judge in McKinney sentenced Randle to 180 days of deferred adjudication probation. He also paid $706 in court-related costs.

The Dallas Cowboys waived Randle Nov. 3, citing an unspecified personal issue. He was suspended four games by the NFL under the league's personal conduct policy about a week after his release.
