Garland police are asking for the public's help as they search for a man who allegedly attempted to snatch a 15-month-old child from his mother's arms.
The kidnapping attempt happened Tuesday just after noon in the 1800 block of South Third Street.
The woman told police that she was standing in her kitchen, which is located at the rear of the home, holding her child when a man suddenly stepped inside the kitchen through the open doorway and immediately began trying to pull her little boy from her arms. The woman struggled and was able to fight the attacker off.
Police released a sketch of the man done by a McKinney police detective and are asking anyone who recognizes him to call Garland Crime Stoppers at 972-272-8477.
