Police Mystery: Scattered Bones

Bones found scattered around Tarrant County belong to one man

Fort Worth police have resorted to forensic science to find out the identity of a man whose remains have been found all over Tarrant County.

DNA testing on bones found over a five-year period in Fort Worth, Euless, and Arlington show the remains all belong to one man.

Partial remains were found in May 1995 behind Baby Dolls in Fort Worth and on that same day more remains were found south of Pipeline Rd. in Euless. Then in September 1990 another bone was found in a creek at the Arlington city dump.

Detectives hope a clay composite showing what the man may have looked like will help them identify him.

Judging from the bones, forensic scientists say the man was Hispanic or of mixed ancestry, stood between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet 2 inches tall and was between 25 to 40 years old.

Although his remains were found in 1995, detectives said they believe he was killed prior to 1994.

Tips on the man's identity can be called in to Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS.
