Southern Methodist University has notified the university community of a sexual assault near campus.
Reports indicate a woman, not affiliated with SMU, was walking on Mockingbird Lane toward Hillcrest Road before dawn Wednesday when she was assaulted by a stranger.
Highland Park police are investigating.
