Police are investigating a shooting in southwest Dallas.[[416146363,C]]
DPD says one person was shot inside of a white car that was sitting in the parking lot of the 3900 block of South Cockrell Hill Road at about 11:45 Tuesday morning.
The car appears to have several shattered windows.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was transported to a nearby hospital and is in serious condition, police say.
Two patrol officers witnessed the shooting while driving by the scene.
They followed the suspected shooter and caught him a short time later after he crashed his vehicle.
Officers recovered a gun and the man is now in police custody. His identity has not been released.
