Motorcycle Rider Killed in Denton Crash: Police

Denton police say a motorcycle rider was killed in a crash on Fort Worth Drive in Denton on Sunday.

A 55-year-old man was riding a motorcycle southbound in the 2200 block of Fort Worth Drive when a 21-year-old woman in a car made a left turn from a private driveway in front of him, according to a Denton police spokesperson.

The motorcycle rider crashed into the driver's side door and was thrown from the bike, police said.

He died at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.

The driver and one passenger in the other car weren't injured.

As of 7:30 p.m., Fort Worth Drive was still closed at James Street and Mission Street. There was no estimated time when it would reopen, police said.
