Police Identify, Charge 2nd Person in Deep Ellum Sexual Assault

Police said Thursday that detectives identified the second person suspected of sexually assaulting a woman in Deep Ellum last month.

Dallas police said a woman in her 20s was walking alone in the 3300 block of Elm Street at about 3 a.m. Sept. 18 when two males grabbed and sexually assaulted her.

Authorities announced Oct. 13 that a DNA test helped identify a 15-year-old male, who was arrested and charged as a juvenile with aggravated sexual assault.

Dallas police and Dallas Area Rapid Transit detectives said Thursday that they identified the second person they sought and charged him in connection with the assault
