Authorities investigating a suspicious package at Prosper High School Thursday morning said the item turned out to be a lunch box. [[419930403,C]]
Prosper Independent School District officials said a custodian saw a person approach the school in the 300 block of Eagle Drive, throw a package at the front door and run away at about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Officials said Prosper police officers and a bomb squad were sent to the scene to investigate. The Collin County Sheriff's Department set up a road block near the intersection of North Coleman Street and Eagle Drive at 2 a.m.

By 3 a.m., authorities determined the package was a lunch box and left the school.
Plano police said Prosper Independent School District officials would release a statement later in the morning.
