Police Blotter: Dead Man Found in Oak Cliff

Here's a list of recent activities drawing the attention of North Texas law enforcement. List compiled on Sept 1, 2011.

Dead Man Found Near Oak Cliff Elementary School
Police found a man's body Thursday morning in a vacant lot in west Oak Cliff. The man, identified as 39-year-old Adam Martinez, died from apparent gunshot wounds. Martinez's body was found near Hampton Road and Kiest Boulevard, not far from Daniel Webster Elementary School. Police said they don’t have any witnesses or suspects in the ongoing murder investigation.

Three Men Shot at Gas Station
Dallas police responded to a shooting call at a Flash Mart near Abrams Road and Park Lane Thursday morning. Three men who were part of a landscaping crew were shot by the driver of a gold Toyota Camry who thought the men wanted to steal his TV from his car. All three men were taken to Baylor University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The gunman fled but police said they believe they know who he is.

Robbery in Red Oak
Police are looking for 53-year-old Michael Perales in connection with the Prosperity Bank robbery in Red Oak on Aug. 29, 2011. Anyone with information about Perales’ whereabouts is asked to please call Red Oak Police at 972-617-7632 or the Ellis County Sheriff’s Deptartment at 972-937-6060. Police said Perales may be driving a white 2003 GMC 4X4 Z-71 pickup truck. He is considered armed and dangerous.
