Police: 2 Shot Outside Fort Worth Bar

Police said two people were shot at a South Fort Worth bar following an altercation early Friday morning.

Fort Worth Police Department officials said the shooting happened outside the New Start Restaurant in the 4500 block of Miller Avenue near U.S. Highway 287 at about 2 a.m.

Both shooting victims were running away when they were shot, authorities said. One of the victims drove himself to a gas station where an ambulance picked him up.

One victim was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital and the other was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital, according to officials. Both were treated and released from the hospitals.

Two men were shot outside the same bar — then called the Soft Shoulders Club — in a similar incident two years ago.

Police said they have not yet arrested anyone and are still investigating Friday's shooting.
