Plano police have released a list of the top car crash hotspots in hopes that drivers will slow down and take notice.
The police department this week released a report on the intersections where drivers are most likely to get into an accident. The report uses data from the past three years.
Two intersections -- Legacy Drive and the Dallas North Tollway service road and Coit Road and the President George Bush Turnpike service road -- tied for first place with 47 crashes in the three-year period.
People who frequent the Shops at Legacy say the numbers are not a surprise.
"People are going quick when the lights are green. They’re going through the intersection fast. They are switching lanes," said Summer Robinson, of Prosper.
"It's very easy to get in wrecks right there," she said. "I've almost gotten in a wreck myself, actually."
But the numbers are fairly low when compared to other areas with similar population densities, Plano police said.

The two top sites for crashes averaged 1.3 crashes per month in the study's three-year period.
But police say many of the crashes could have been prevented.
"There's a common denominator in all of that, and the fact of the matter is just distracted driving," police spokesman Officer David Tilley said.
The police department will increase its presence in the 10 intersections highlighted in the report, Tilley said.
"There's always room for improvement, and we're always looking for that option," he said.
