Plano Man Accused of Assaulting Women at Pool, Grocery Store

Plano police say accused man may be responsible for other sex-related crimes

Plano police say a man arrested June 16 and charged with two sexual assaults may be responsible for more attacks.

Treshawn Jahmal Robinson, 23, is currently being held in the Collin County Detention Center, accused of sexually assaulting two women, one at a grocery store and another at a pool.

Late last month, Plano police say a woman reported Robinson was following her around a Tom Thumb grocery store on Independence Parkway. She told police Robinson walked up behind her and grabbed her private areas.

A few weeks later, a woman reported Robinson tried taking photos of her private areas at a swimming pool at an apartment complex on W. Spring Creek Parkway near Coit Road.

Then last week, police say Robinson was caught hiding in the bushes recording video of two 16-year-olds at another apartment complex on W. Spring Creek Parkway near Coit.

Plano police said a background search of Robinson turned up a history of inappropriate behavior dating back to 2014. He was cited three times for "offensive contact assaults."

He was also criminally tresspassed from a Burlington Coat Factory in Plano in 2014, "due to employees seeing him take photos of women without their knowledge," an arrest affidavit stated.

Police said Friday Robinson may be responsible for additional sex-related offenses and would like to talk to any potential victims. Robinson is known, police said, to frequent "pools, department and grocery stores and recreation center in the Plano area and surrounding cities."

Robinson's jail record listed three distinguishing marks, tattoos on his upper left arm, upper right arm and on his chest. A bond amount was not given and it's not clear from jail records if Robinson has obtained an attorney.

Anyone with information about Robinson or that may assist detectives is asked to call the Plano Police Department Tip Line at 972-941-2148.
