Plano firefighters will wear pink T-shirts during the first two weeks in October to support breast cancer awareness.
Plano Firefighters Association Local 2149 is also selling the pink T-shirts. All proceeds from the sales of the shirts will be donated to Susan G. Komen for a Cure.
"Firefighters have been supporting breast cancer awareness for many years now," Fire Chief Sam Greif said. "Several of our members have been impacted by this terrible disease."
Greig said he hopes to see Plano residents adorned in pink during October.
"Let's paint Plano pink in October," he said.
